Mission Statement

‘A girl and her dog on a mission to forge an International community of Earthlings through symbolic art voicing a surfer’s way of life.’

My mission is to create something that reflects who we are and how we live. I want to give people who dream of or admire our way of life the chance to not just feel integrated but become an impactful part of it. To offer wholehearted inclusion to anyone, anywhere, into this world of our own.

We are children of the ocean, with a world that not everyone understands. What others may see as a nightmare, we view as the start of a great day. When we step into the ocean, we become one with its immense power, and each time we do so, our hearts skip a beat. We treat the waters with respect, wholeheartedly in love with the unparalleled dance with nature.

Our passion is greater than our fear; it’s what we live for, right?

A FREE SOUL IS OUR PERSONALITY. The rules of the game? Can’t catch us.

Travel and that which is introduced into our lives through it is who I am and what I live for.
Getting to know the true meaning of a country and learning from life, cultures, people, and circumstances while travelling is what I travel for.
When I travel, my purpose is to learn a new way of life and to gain a greater understanding of the planet we live on. To learn about a new culture, a new language (whatever that language might consist of), get lost and found in a new way of life, and to create a greater understanding and perspective of the planet we call home.

Which leads me to surfing for one way of life I was introduced to when I travelled to Madeira, Portugal, was the way of a surfer’s life: the dance with the waves, the unquestioned and respected power of Mother Nature, the beautiful community, and echoes of laughter and cheer whispered from the Ocean. As soon as I took my first and second surf lessons, I understood the excitement and dedication. I felt that which every surfer embodies. Freedom.
Since my first days in the wild Atlantic, I have always sought this connection with Mother Earth and priceless moments with friends on my journey through our beautiful planet home.

And so, out of this very experience and a striving to transform, unite, express the roots and essence, and welcome everyone into our world, Children of the Ocean was born.
